Jewels by Park Lane sponsoring Fallen Heroes Military Ceremony to honor military personnel.
A tribute to local fallen military heroes, will take place Monday, July 26 in Schaumburg’s Town Square.
The ceremony honoring families of deceased military men and women, will be presented by Walter Coleman, chairman of the United States Fallen Heroes Foundation; and Arthur LeVin, co-owner of Jewels by Park Lane. Each family will be given a replica of the granite plaque that will be added to the national memorial in Texas honoring military personnel who have died in the Gulf War, Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation Enduring Freedom, Desert Shield and Desert Storm.
Jewels by Park Lane is donating the replicas for the ceremony. The event will include a military honor guard from the Great Lakes Naval Station, along with honor guards from the local American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW). The ceremony will conclude with "Taps" and a gun salute.
